Prior to Signs By Tomorrow, Joe had a successful 20-year career in field operations and headquarters management positions with Sears and Black & Decker. During this career, Joe developed extensive local and national experience in the operation of retail stores as well as national marketing, purchasing and production.
Joe's experiences have helped create a philosophy and culture that operates more as an extended business family. The Signs By Tomorrow system was developed to allow individuals and families to fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams while joining a fully supportive system of shared values and principles.
Andrew has 18 years experience in the sign and graphic industry. Of those, he has spent 10 years working in various markets across the country. He joined us as Vice President of Operations in November 2002.
Andrew oversees our franchise support operations. He is also the lead on marketing activities for the system, and manages the development of business plans for system stores.
Prior to joining us, Andrew was Vice President of the former All American Sign Shops in Raleigh, North Carolina (1999 to 2002) and held various other upper management positions, including Director of Training (1995 to 1998). He has also spent some time as an Area Representative and Sales Representative for various other national sign companies.
Jean supervises the administrative, accounting and personnel activities of the company. She and her staff are responsible for the franchise legal registrations as well as corporate accounting reports and audits. They are also a key part of the training and support of new franchisees.
Jean joined the company in 1994 as a Bookkeeper and later became the Accounting Manager (1995 to 1997). She then served as the Administrative Manager (1997 to 1999) and was later promoted to Director of Administration (1999).
Prior to joining Signs By Tomorrow, Jean was an associate at a telecommunications auditing firm and an accounting team member for both a homebuilder and a yellow page placement agency. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Masters degree from the University of Buffalo.
Gina comes to SBT-USA with a varied business and legal background. Gina received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia, and, after becoming a CPA, was an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) for several years. She then earned her law degree from the University of San Diego and was admitted to the California Bar. She then served as Corporate Counsel for various entities, including Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary), a national law firm; Chardan Ventures, a venture capital firm; and Invitrogen Corporation, a public biotechnology company. She also has earned a Black Belt in Six Sigma Process Improvement.
Phil joined Signs By Tomorrow in 1986 after a career in the blue printing and drafting field. He started and managed our first headquarters store, which today, is one of the top stores in the system. Phil has also assisted in developing many products and systems that have helped to define our business.
His almost 20 years of experience has contributed significantly to both the success of the company and the evolvement of the sign and graphic industry. Phil has been a trainer, mentor, and leader for the vast majority of franchisees and employees in our system.
He has been the Director of Operations since 1995 and is credited with vendor relations and establishing the Sign By Tomorrow Vendor Approved/Preferred program. His history with the company also includes four years as Training Manager (1991-1995), as well as seven years experience managing stores (1986-1993).
Steve began working at the first Signs By Tomorrow company-owned store in 1989 while completing a degree in Advertising and Design at the University of Maryland. During his time with the company, he has gained more than 14 years experience in training. Steve has been the Director of Training since 1995.
He is the lead designer credited with most of the company's logo development and national branding efforts. Steve has developed and refined an extensive training program for both franchisees and store managers. His expertise in training and store openings has contributed to more than 100 stores successes.
Steve was also an Assistant Manager for two company-owned stores (1989-1991), Store Manager (1991-1993), and Assistant Training Manager (1991-1995).
Joe has been with us since 2001 and he is the Director of Field Sales and Support for the entire system. He is responsible for developing, testing, and implementing various sales programs on a national level.
He served as a Business Development Manager (2001-2003) and was promoted to National Sales Development Manager (2003-2004). During that time he has assisted with the build-out and development of 30 plus stores, consulted individual franchisees on sales growth strategies, and contributed to multiple marketing and sales resources.
Prior to joining Signs By Tomorrow, he was completing his Masters degree at Towson University. He also holds a Graduate Certification in Strategic Public Relations and Integrated Communications, and a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Communication.
Michael Cline joined Signs By Tomorrow in June of 2004 as Director of Franchise Development. From April 2003 to June 2004, he was owner of M2Marketing, Inc. in Baltimore Maryland. He was sales representative of ADnational, a yellow page agency in Columbia, Maryland, from October 2000 to April 2003. From May 1996 to September 2000, he was a mortgage broker with C & F Mortgage in Baltimore, Maryland.
Marty joined us in 1999 and has been an active member in the franchise selection process for the past three years. She is the Franchise Development Manager (2004), and coordinates the selection process for obtaining new franchisees.
She has worked as the Executive and Franchise Marketing Assistant and the National Meeting Planner (2001-2004). Marty has also served as a key liaison between SBT-USA and the SBT Franchise Advisory Council.
Prior to joining Signs By Tomorrow she gained 9 years experience in financial planning for military personnel.
